Valerie studied media management at the University of Applied Sciences in St. Pölten (Austria) with focus on Marketing & Sales and Content Management. She attended the elective subject “Online” and worked for the student media magazine “Sumo”. Furthermore, she gained experience in marketing during her 6-month internship at ProSieben in Munich. Also, she expanded her Social Media Marketing skills during a post-graduate internship at a travel agency in Tenerife.
Since 2019 Valerie has been working for USECON as Marketing, Sales and Business Development Manager. Her work focuses on marketing and business development of EU funded research projects.
In the EU-funded Horizon 2020 project SHOTPROS, where USECON acts as project coordinator, she leads the work package “Dissemination & Exploitation”.
SHOTPROS, 2019-2022: SHOTPROS is an EU funded research project that aims to improve the “decision – making and action process” of European police officers in stressful and high – risk situations enhanced by a virtual reality training program.
MED1stMR, 2021 – 2024: The EU funded H2020 project MED1stMR develops innovative mixed reality training technology to combine real-world medical simulators with virtual environments to train medical first responders for these challenges.
